What Now, Cowboy Fans?

Parcells Yesterday, Bill Parcells "retired" from football. While some are cheering "Ding Dong," I personally wonder who the Cowboys will find to be coach who will be better than "Big Bill." Some might say Pete Carroll (Go Trojans!), Norv Turner, Mike Martz, or Ron Rivera. I have a nominee…

All armchair quarterbacks. I think it would be nice to see a random couch potato from Euless thrown into the role. It might humble fans for good. It never ceases to amaze me how media members, as well as the fan population, question virtually every play call as though they themselves were a Hall-of-Fame coach. He wasn’t perfect. In fact, he always seemed cantankerous. I find his style of football quite boring. However, Here’s the truth about Parcells from my perspective:

The constant heat from the media over T.O., Bledsoe/Romo, the Cowboys’ December collapse, and many more topics finally wore him out. He could handle it when he was younger, but at 65, it flat wore him out. While some might say, "If you can’t take the heat, get out of the kitchen," I’ve always thought such comments should only be made by those who have spent some time in the kitchen themselves.
