Two New Reads

Just started reading 2 new books: one is the Shack, the other is John Maxwell’s new book entitled, Leadership Gold. I’m about half-way through each. So far, The shack is coming off new-agey and soft to me…but I’m not through, so hope still remains I suppose. Maxwell has some new stuff to offer in this book.

On another note…I didn’t see American Idol this week…but I’m hoping Kristi Lee holds on another week…she’s better than people have given her credit for…but the top 3 are clearly David Cook, David Archuleta, and Carly the Irishwoman.

Dr. Tim Spivey is Lead Planter of New Vintage Church in San Diego, California. He is the author of numerous articles and one book, "Jesus: The Powerful Servant." A sought after speaker for events, Tim also serves as Adjunct Professor of Religion at Pepperdine University. Tim serves as a church consultant, and his writings are featured on ChurchLeaders.com, Church Executive magazine, Faith Village, Sermon Central, and Giving Rocket.

  1. The Shack is really good Tim! Finished it recently and intend to post a review of it on my blog in the near future. The Shack is really intense. I personally couldn’t read a lot of it at one sitting. It’s a very good and very touching book. I hope and pray you like it. God bless you and the work at HOCC.
