Telluride

Telluride, Colorado is one of the prettiest places I’ve ever
been. It has a plethora of what I call “Grinch-mountains”…those kind that look
like the Grinch might live there. They also remind me of the old Paramount
Pictures logo. AWESOME!!! We’ve met Emily’s whole side of the family in
Telluride for a belated holiday bonding time, and it’s been great. The drive
here was awesome as well…from San Diego, to Vegas, through Utah, and Western
Colorado…beautiful. The family time has been great. We obviously don’t have the
opportunity to spend time with Emily’s family now that we’ve moved out of the
Metroplex. So, the time with them has been priceless.

It has also given me a chance to ski…which I’ve only done
about 4 times but love to do. At times, I resemble a giraffe on roller skates out
there on the slopes. Other times, I’m not too bad.
I
can ski the blue runs pretty well. Black Diamonds are over my head at this
point.
I like things that have a
bit of danger and and/or speed to them. It’s more true to say that I like
outdoor sports that have some atmosphere to them—golf, hiking, skiing,
surfing, baseball, etc. Skiing from 13,000+ feet down is something else.
Family, fun…good times.

We return in a couple of days, and then it’s time to begin a
new year. Honestly, 2008 wasn’t my favorite year—though God’s blessings were
evident throughout. But, 2009 is putting out a good vibe to me. So, to all,
happy new year and a belated Merry Christmas. I’ll be back online officially on
Monday. Peace.
