Stimulus Package

Business Odyssey 102
Question:

Do you think America would be better off if the 825 billion dollar stimulus package was given to America's churches for use in the communities, or America's pillars of the economy and troubled industry?

I've been mulling this over all day…and it's not simple. What do you think? I've decided on the churches.

  1. I guess the big problem would be that the government needs to give out money to individuals and corporations who actually pay taxes so that they prosper but also so that the tax dollars come back to the government so they can be used again. If you give it to a church, the government doesn’t get as much tax bang for the buck as they would giving it as a tax break to an individual or corporation.

  2. Great question. I will go with churches and other non-profit organizations. I would like to believe that churches and NP organizations are not out for their own gain. I am quit sure that is not the case for most of the coorporate world.
