Well, I’m beginning to do initial reading for a series on Revelation that I hope to preach next February-March. What’s amazing to me is how sure everyone is that their perspective on Revelation is plain as day if one just reads the Bible. Hmmmm….

Dr. Tim Spivey is Lead Planter of New Vintage Church in San Diego, California. He is the author of numerous articles and one book, "Jesus: The Powerful Servant." A sought after speaker for events, Tim also serves as Adjunct Professor of Religion at Pepperdine University. Tim serves as a church consultant, and his writings are featured on, Church Executive magazine, Faith Village, Sermon Central, and Giving Rocket.

  1. Hi, Tim–my cousin attends Highland Oaks, and I enjoy hearing you from time to time via the net.
You probably already have it, but if not, Witherington’s commentary on Rev in the NCBC set is excellent.

  2. I’m confident I DON’T have all the answers about Revelation and the end-times, but I do know that good triumphs over evil and those who believe get to spend eternity with God.
It’s sad that the details of such “good news” has become a test of fellowship that causes division among believers.
I look forward to hearing your take on the subject. It should be interesting!
    Blessings in your study!
