Opening Night

Last night, the Cards and Mets kicked off baseball season. Baseball is still Americas game…over football…which doesn’t last nearly long enough, and still lacks the historical umph of baseball. Baseball is shared in common across the generations at the pro level more than, and still dominates America’s older cities —Boston, New York, Chicago, etc.

Pictured here is Mr. Willie Mays–the say hey kid–the greatest of all time in my book.

Anyhow, last night I did something I hadn’t done in years…I kept score throughout a baseball game…and it was a blast. Opening night baseball with Joe Morgan and Jon Miller is awesome in and of itself. Keeping score a rematch of last year’s NLCS with Joe Morgan and Jon Miller calling the game…that’s just sweet. Good times.

Any World Series predictions?

Here’s mine… Yankees vs. Mets…or Cards

  1. Toronto and St. Louis.
Baseball is something 99.9% of women don’t understand. The rules, the strategy, the history, the smell of a baseball field…it’s something guys get and gals don’t.
    Baseball is way cool.
