Live from Rochester

3a
Right now, I’m listening to Gail O’Day lecture on the Gospel of John. To say she’s smart is a great understatement. The same can be said of Richard Hays, who I heard yesterday. I haven’t been to the Rochester Sermon Seminar in three years, and I’ve missed it.

Rochester is a suburb of Detroit–located in an area of the country I don’t get to often. This event is the single best seminar in preaching offered by an institution of the Churches of Christ. In addition to the quality of the event, the quality of the fellowship is wonderful as well. I’ve had the chance to hang out with some guys that I haven’t seen in a while.

I hope that as David Fleer transitions to Lipscomb, the Seminar will continue to thrive…as it moves to Nashville. Anyways…back to Gail O’Day…
