In Indy

For the next 36 hours or so, I’m in Indianapolis attending/presenting at the National Preaching Summit. It’s a marvelous event that is the single best event I’ve been to on preaching from an entirely practical standpoint.

Tonight, I’ll preach the Eeyore sermon, and it will then be analyzed in front of everyone by ACU’s Jerry Taylor–how fun. I pray that the Lord gives him great compassion.

Tomorrow, I’m presenting a session entitled, "On Fire: Preaching and the Holy Spirit."

Then, it’s back to life in Big D.

Dr. Tim Spivey is Lead Planter of New Vintage Church in San Diego, California. He is the author of numerous articles and one book, "Jesus: The Powerful Servant." A sought after speaker for events, Tim also serves as Adjunct Professor of Religion at Pepperdine University. Tim serves as a church consultant, and his writings are featured on ChurchLeaders.com, Church Executive magazine, Faith Village, Sermon Central, and Giving Rocket.

  1. Your Eyore sermon is one of my favorites. I hope you will share with us some of the things that were said about it. I’d like to here comments, not from a biased lay person, but from a professional standpoint. Have a great time and come home safely.

  2. Tomorrow’s sermon sounds like a good one. I hope you are planning to preach it here as well 🙂 May the Lord be with you and speak through you mightily as He always does. God Bless!
