How You Know You Have the Right Administrator

Yesterday, the HOCC Executive Ministry Team sat down to meet. At the very moment I was feeling thankful for the opportunity to work with such terrific people, I noticed something. Our Minister of Administration, Becky Burroughs, had brought a labeler with her to the meeting. She had labeled her labeler with her name. If your administrator labels his or her labeler, you have the right administrator.

Today, I will also mourn the loss of Carly and the survival of Jason "Uh…..who’s Andrew Lloyd Webber?" Castro.

  1. I had a strange feeling, that although Castro and Brooke didn’t do so well, they would stick around due to a large fan base.
Back around the final 11 I predicted that the final 4 would include the Davids and Brooke (plus a random 4th). Not sure that Brooke will make the final 3.
Tim, I’ll record it next week if you need to come over and watch it after the Keynotes 🙂

  2. I just want to thank you for this unsolicited P.R. My phone is ringing off the wall. I have had three job offers already, but you can’t get rid of me that easily. I love working at HOCC! (I tried labeling my pencils to keep them from disappearing, but it presented a challenge when sharpening). I am available for organizational tutorials if you happen to know of anyone desperately in need……….

  3. Amen all the way through, Kent. I actually mentioned to Em last night that I thought singing “Superstar” might get her in some trouble. However, I thought she was awesome…and I thought she had one of, if not the best overall voice. But, it doesn’t matter now. Her music will be heard in bars for years to come.

  4. Tim-
I, too, am mourning the loss of Carly. I could see this coming for awhile. First, she is Irish and, while she was the best female, there is no way that the public would let a foreigner win. I’m not saying this is how I feel but you know there are those out there who feel this way. Same thought goes for Michael Johns, by the way. Also, my wife predicted on Tuesday that the huge Southern voting bloc that basically elects the American Idol every year would not vote for Carly after she sang “Jesus Christ Superstar”. There are many who find that musical offensive. Again, not me personally, but you have to imagine that the same people who kept Kristy Lee Cook after she same “God Bless the USA” would not vote for Carly after singing that song the other night. Meanwhile, Brooke, Syesha, and Jason all stick around. Can’t we just get rid of them and get to the inevitable finale between the Davids which is what we have known we’ve been heading for for weeks now?
