Back in the Saddle Again…

Gene_autry
I’m back in the office, and getting ready to return home after my first day of work. I spent 30 days away (23 of them on the road). Over 2700 emails were waiting (thankfully, lots of spam), and plenty of mail. But, so was the church, the mission, and the people. Good times. Hope I can still preach…I’m not sure it’s like riding a bike…

As a drove to the office this morning, I remembered the great Gene Autry (this isn’t his best picture), and these lyrics that came to mind…

I’m back in the saddle again
Out where a friend is a friend
Where the longhorn cattle feed
On the lowly gypsum weed
Back in the saddle again

Ridin’ the range once more
Totin’ my old .44
Where you sleep out every night
And the only law is right
Back in the saddle again

Whoopi-ty-aye-oh
Rockin’ to and fro
Back in the saddle again
Whoopi-ty-aye-yay
I go my way
Back in the saddle again

I’m back in the saddle again
Out where a friend is a friend
Where the longhorn cattle feed
On the lowly gypsum weed
Back in the saddle again

Ridin’ the range once more
Totin’ my old .44
Where you sleep out every night
And the only law is right
Back in the saddle again

Whoopi-ty-aye-oh
Rockin’ to and fro
Back in the saddle again
Whoopi-ty-aye-yay
I go my way
Back in the saddle again
