Call me Abrabat.

We got the blessed news today that I will in fact be the father of another girl! Thus, I will be a father of many daughters (3).

Some have assumed that Emily and I each were really hoping for a boy. Not really. Our attitude has always been that it's God's decision who our children are. Besides, we've had an absolute blast raising Anna and Olivia thus far. Raising girls has been simply wonderful. If we have half as much fun with the new Spivelet, as we've had with Anna and Olivia, we'd take it gladly. So, today, we give thanks for the our new baby girl.

As the Psalmist writes:

"Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord,
the fruit of the womb a reward.
Like arrows in the hand of a warrior
are the children of one's youth.
Blessed is the man
who fills his quiver with them!
He shall not be put to shame
when he speaks with his enemies in the gate."

Well, my quiver is filling up, and I'm blessed. Thank you, Lord!
